What I get asked

Why should I use a professional photographer?

Most sellers these days expect their home to be professionally photographed. It's important to remember that sellers are also buyers and have likely been on the internet looking at properties. The last thing they want is for the house they're selling to leave a bad first impression online. Realtors must also recognize that the way they present a listing is a direct reflection of them as sales people, and the commitment they offer to clients.

When do I pay?

Please be prepared to pay the photographer at the time of the shoot with a check or cash. Payment can also be made by using a phone app called Venmo.

How long does a photo session take?

A standard shoot takes between 1 - 2 hours depending on the size of the property.

How many photos are included?

A typical  shoot will include 12 - 25 fully edited images depending on the size of the property.

When can I expect to receive the photos?

I understand that in real estate, time is of the essence. My normal delivery time is next business day.

How will the photos be delivered?

Once completed, your pictures will be sent via Dropbox.com portal. You will receive an email with a download link.

Does someone need to be present for the shoot?

Access will need to be provided to the property, but it is not necessary to have someone present during the shoot.

Are there any special instructions for preparing a property for a photo shoot?

Yes. You can find detailed instructions here: Home Preparation

Do you offer video tours or 360 photography?

At this time I only offer still photography. A recent REALTOR study shows that most buyers prefer still images when shopping for a house.

Will photos need to be resized before posting them to MLS?

No. All photos will be optimized to make use of the maximum file size and resolution allowed by MLS.

Do you retouch the images?

Absolutely! Retouching is a big part of what I do as a photographer. Every image gets retouched using the latest versions of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom.

Which areas do you cover and are there any travel charges?

I cover Morris, Warren, Essex and Sussex counties. Yes. There may be a $10 travel charge for properties greater than 30 miles round trip from Budd Lake to the property.

What photographic equipment do you use?

I use top of the line Nikon DSLR equipment. A variety of wide angle lenses, multiple external wireless flashes, tripod, shutter release and that creative photographer’s eye.
